For premium petrol, this raises the output to 250 horsepower, while for ordinary unleaded, the output is 227 hp, or 227 lb-ft of torque. Only the front wheels receive power through a six-speed automatic transmission, which is standard on all versions.
In a world when eight, nine, and ten-speed transmissions are the standard, the six-speed gearbox may appear archaic, but if it works, why change it? At 4,000 rpm, the normally aspirated four-cylinder can produce 186 lb-ft of torque, but that’s all it can do. Adding a turbocharger improves torque from 2,500 rpm to 320 lb-ft. It starts at $24,475 for the Sport model and goes up to $27,075 for the Touring model. Grand Touring is $30,175 and Grand Touring Reserve is $32,675 at the time of writing. It costs $32,950 for the entry-level Carbon Edition and $35,900 for the most high-end Signature model. The $995 delivery fee in the United States is not included in these rates.
